Why we're creating new plans

Currently, the entrance and exit of Great Missenden Train Station is dominated by a car sales business and poor quality landscaping. The car sales business shares vehicle and pedestrian access with users of the train station itself. This overall setting is poor quality, but it should and could serve Great Missenden so much better for residents and visitors.

These regeneration proposals significantly enhance the station forecourt in its appearance, and will significantly improve pedestrian safety and vehicle movements for station drop-offs and collections. The site is identified as a priority for redevelopment by Buckinghamshire Council and it can deliver new homes without affecting greenfield or greenbelt land.

The site is an important space at the train station gateway to your village and we’re inviting you to join in the conversation about improving its future.

The area around the station is the best-located brownfield site in the village centre in terms of its proximity to shops, businesses, schools, services and public transport connections.
